The Parent Engagement Specialist Intern plays a vital role at Million Dollar Teacher Project. You will plan, organize and implement an appropriate outreach and engagement program to enhance communication between the parents of the students involved with the Classroom Support Team and the classroom/teacher. The Parent Engagement Specialist in this role should examine his/her attitudes towards and expectations of the parents and families.
Responsibilities
- Point of contact with parents
- Write positive notes about students to send to parents
- Call parents with good (or bad) news/information about student
- Class Dojo- become a master of the program
- Take pictures of students’ work
- Upload it to Class Dojo program
- Enter it into correct student profile
- Assume the responsibility for handling confidential information
- Participate in activities necessary to maintain classroom integration and to support in all curricula activities, which include classroom, community, vocational, and recreational/leisure.

Requirements
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings on sight

- Internship begins September 1st. and ends March 31st
